Welcome to the Best of the Web! This is a new series on AndreaGenevieve.com that will highlight some of the best blog posts, videos and news from different areas of the web.
I read a lot and thought I should start sharing all the great nuggets that come across my desk and feed.
Below you’ll find a list of links to some of my favorite posts this month about Social Media, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Mamahood.

Best of The Web: February Edition

Social Media

Been stalking your ex on Facebook lately? Searching for someone secret? How about reading this article instead and learn how to clear your Facebook search history.

LinkedIn is also jumping on the security bandwagon by offering more insight into who has viewed your profile. Admit it, you love seeing how many people have checked your profile!

Facebook isn’t the only social network celebrating a milestone, Flickr also turned 10 this month.

If you happened to have $19 billion just laying around you could have scooped mobile messenger What’sApp before Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook did earlier this month. Yes,  he paid 19- BILLION dollars. That’s a lotta dolla bills y’all.

Entrepreneurship

On Wednesdays, entrepreneurs wear pink. Well, according to Mattel and the new Entrepreneur Barbie we wear pink and high heels for work everyday, not just on Wednesday. Although, most women in business I know work from home, so they wear whats comfortable.
News flash Mattel: I’m working right now and wearing a T-shirt and jeans FYI.

Each year I look forward to attending as many conferences as possible. I even have a special section of my wardrobe dedicated to Conference Lady Dresses. Well, since becoming a mom it sort of limits how many I can attend so when I do, it better be good. Take a look at this list of the top 50 Conferences to Attend in 2014.
(Note, the World Domination Summit or Big Omaha are not on that list. Both are two of my favorites.)

Technology

If you’ve ever visited a food truck for a tasty treat you’ve most likely used Square to pay. It’s so cool and super helpful if you need to swipe a quick transaction. This month Square moves beyond payments to help small business owner schedule and organize with the aqusition of BookFresh.

You might think Google+ isn’t right for you, but now that Google announced Hangouts support landline telephones it may be just right for webinars, conference calls and more.

Mamahood

Did your kiddo do something this week to make you want to scream? Stay positive, offer gratitude and check out these 10 things successful people do to stay calm.

I find it really annoying that most stock photos of Moms that work don’t really portray a reflection of actual life. Well, Sheryl Sandberg agrees and partnered with Getty images to create a set of 2,500 true-to-life photos called the Lean In Collection. Take a look!

Your idea could become the next big thing, as long as you don’t give up. Read how this Mama turned her dream into a realty.

Does social media impact the way we define beauty? According to Dove, it does. What do you think?

And finally a Quotable Quote:
