So you call yourself an entrepreneur.
You also happen to be a mom… or vice versa.  Congrats, you fall under the category of “Mompreneur!”

(Don’t you just love labels?(

Well as a fellow Mompreneur I often times find it hard to make meaningful connections with women who get me.
I mean REALLY get me.
For example, I work super hard (regardless of whether or not this work is done in an office or my home)  while at the same time I love on my kiddo as much as peanut butter loves on jelly. I also like to find a balance between the two without going crazy or feeling guilty about it- is that so much to ask?

Sometimes it takes the support of other women in similar situations to validate how I feel. Usually it involves a glass of wine or two.

Over the last few months I’ve had some friends ask me, “How do you find Mompreneur friends?” While some of us may be inclined to Google meetups or groups for “Mompreneurs in X city,” others might feel comfortable connecting in a less formal way. I fall under the later category and wanted to share three ways to network, specifically for the mom and entrepreneur like you.

Three Ways To Find Other Mompreneurs Like You

Attend Local Conferences

If you live in Texas MomCom is a great place to make connections.

What began as a bi-annual half day event back in 2012 has evolved into a two-day official conference. This year MomCom has opened up registration to women living outside of Austin, TX and promises to be twice the size of past events. (More potential friends!) I have attended all the past MomCom events and each time ended up meeting the most amazing women- most of which I still talk with today.

This year, the event moves to the Westin Hotel at the Domain shopping district in Austin and includes a great line up of programming featuring 11 speakers, multiple workshops such as “The Art of Transformation: From Struggling Single Mother to Accomplished Entrepreneur,” a Wine Walk Sip & Shop and closing party.

RSVP to get your tickets here– Prices will go up.
