Last year was the first in probably 15 years that I didn’t have a proper planner or calendar. I can remember back to middle school I would get so excited to hang a new calendar on my bedroom wall. Decorating the daily agenda book was also a highlight well into high school years. It’s no surprise that my love for planners and organizing the calendar would continue as adult.

Looking back now, I’m convinced my crazy year was in part due to a lack of structure. This year, I am determined to hold myself accountable to tasks and goals by using a tangible planner. Don’t get me wrong though, I love technology. Google Calendar and Evernote are both part of my daily life, but there is something to be said for markers and paper.

Finding the Perfect Planner

The stationery store is my version of heaven. All the new fresh notebooks, planners, colorful pens, stickers and accessories make me feel like I’m in middle school again. The possibilities for personalization are endless and I just want everything! Am I right?
With so many different styles and formats of agendas on the market today it can be hard to find just the right one to fit your needs. In researching my perfect planner for 2016 I found about a dozen fun and unique options. Each has calendar sections, to-do lists, blank pages and cute accessories for the creative, maker, entrepreneur or busy mom.
I haven’t decided which is just right for me, but here is a great mix of digital downloads, calendars and goal setting tools that I hope may help you find the perfect planner for the year.
